These constricted fatty deposits are the cause of dimpling and cellulite. So, we recommend a series of VELASmooth treatments , between 6 to 12, to reduce the appearance of cellulite and to firm the body.

e-Derma Stamping

What is e-Derma Stamping?

As with dermarolling , the principle is the application of tiny needles pricks ( under topical anaesthesia) in their thousands to the dermis. Each one creates a tiny perforation, which heals with a dot of collagen, and, if we are performing 36,000 perforations every minute, they all add up! Six needles per applicator, each creating a hundred perforations per second. About a million perforations per 30 mins, more than we can offer with dermal rolling. More perforation means more collagen, which leads to firmer and softer skin.

What is the down time?

You will experience some redness and tightness to the skin. It lasts 2 to 4 days. You need to apply our pos care products to help with the recovery. You can cover with mineral make up.

When can I see the results?

Which areas can I have the e-Derma Stamping?

We can perform eDermastamping on your face, neck and under the eye area.

Is it painful?

After the treatment the skin will feel very tight and nay feel like a mild sunburn for 12 to 24 hours. After the treatment, you go under the Omnilux light to speed up your recovery.

Omnilux Phototherapy

How does it work?

The Omnilux unit is a bright light therapy of 633 nm, the orange, red part of the visible spectrum. While you are under the light, 633 nm photons penetrate deep into the dermis and sub dermal layers, sending signals that stimulate your skin's defense and repair mechanisms, without causing any damage. As you have more treatments, collagen is laid down and organised. This results in smoother and tighten skin.

How many treatments do I need?

We recommend a series of 10 treatments, coming twice a week. We also have a package to use the Omnilux light for 6 months, coming twice a week. Photodynamic Therapy

What is PDT, photo dynamic therapy?

It is an excellent treatment for what we call " baby skin cancers" or "solar keratoses " or " actinic keratoses" and acne.
Many GP's or skin cancer doctors will use liquid nitrogen to freeze them and blast them off. This causes a blister, then a scab which heals with a big white spot.
Now PDT is performed to avoid this spotty appearance and PDT can also destroys the abnormal cells, before they become apparent to the naked eye.

Who is suitable for this treatment?

Anyone with sun damaged skin, blotchy pigmentation, scaly skin or acneic skins. This treatment will also even out skin colour and texture. For acne prone skin, PDT will work to destroy the over active cell lining the acneic glands. PDT is the most potent weapon against acne. , without resorting to oral medication.

What does the treatment involve?

We perform a microdermabrasion to clear the surface of the skin, then the Doctor will apply a solution- 5aminolevulinic acid , also called 5 ALA . Then you lie down in our dark room with that solution for 1 hour and the solution will do its job. The final step is to apply light, the Omnilux red light therapy which will activate the solution, by killing the skin cells and acne lesions, but the normal cells remain.

Does it hurt?

The final step, when you go under the light can be uncomfortable , the skin can become very hot and firm, it might sting a bit, but it will settle.

What is the down time?

After the treatment , your skin will become red and it will look and feel like a sunburn. The next day you will be more red, you should be out of the sun and take the day off. You can take nurofen ( if not allergic) and use ice packs to cool the skin. Be reassured that the more redness in the short term, better the results in the long term, you can also experience a break out, if you have an acneic skin. We can also provide you with our rehydrating and soothing creams to be used over the next few days as the skin is hot and tight.
